مَا الْقَارِعَةُ
Mal keariaah(keariaatu).
What is Kâriah?
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْقَارِعَةُ
Va mea adreaka mal keariaah(keariaatu).
What is it that makes you comprehend what Kâriah is?
يَوْمَ يَكُونُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوثِ
Yavma yakoonun neasu kal fareashil mabsoos(mabsoosi).
On that Day people turn to be like butterflies scattered about.
وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ الْمَنْفُوشِ
Va takoonul cibealu kal ıhnil manfoosh(manfushi).
And the mountains turn to be like carded multi-colored wool.
فَأَمَّا مَنْ ثَقُلَتْ مَوَازِينُهُ
Fa ammea man sakulat maveazeenuh(maveazeenuhu).
But as for him whose scales are heavy (whose positive degrees are more than his negative degrees).
فَهُوَ فِي عِيشَةٍ رَاضِيَةٍ
Fa huva fee eeshatin readiyah(readiyatin).
He is in a pleasing life.
وَأَمَّا مَنْ خَفَّتْ مَوَازِينُهُ
Va ammea man haaffat maveazeenuh(maveazeenuhu).
And but, as for him whose scales are light (whose positive degrees are less than his negative degrees).
فَأُمُّهُ هَاوِيَةٌ
Fa ummuhu heaviyah(heaviyatun).
Then his Mother (what will embrace him) is Hâviyah (fire of hell).
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا هِيَهْ
Va mea adreaka meahiyah(meahiyah).
And what is it that makes you comprehend what it (Hâviyah) is?
نَارٌ حَامِيَةٌ
Nearun heamiyah(heamiyatun).
(It is) a fiercely burning Fire!
